Nightmare?
Brady woke up this morning while I was feeding Presley around 5:30 am.
He climbed up on the couch with me and uttered something about a bad dream.
He quickly said, "let me tell you about it".
Of course I insisted he do tell me all about it.
He began retelling all the details of his bad dream.
"We were here, in this house! Daddy got up to get ready for work. He told us bye, then he went outside and he took your car to work."
...awkward pause...
"That was it, that was my bad dream."
I am not sure which part of that dream was bad, but I hope his bad dreams stay this innocent and sweet for a while longer. :)

Do we really need groceries?
I made a stock up on staples grocery trip the Friday before I went in to have Presley. I made sure to have several boxes of cereal, juice boxes, granola bars, snack foods, bread, sandwich meat, paper products, and quick breakfast foods. I managed to stick with my budget and I was pretty proud of my stock pile.
So, here we are some 4 1/2 weeks later and we have managed to survive on quick trips to the store for milk and a few odd items. I mostly had Caleb pick those things out after work or when he was out. We have done really well, in large part due to our meals being prepared for us for the past several weeks, our moms, and my stockpile grocery trip.
The meals have ended, the visitors have slowed, I have survived a week on my own, Caleb and the moms are back to work, and we are out of nearly everything!
I had to take a trip to the store.
Dum, Dum, Dum....
I managed to get us all three cleaned up and ready to go for my first trip to the grocery store being outnumbered.
It started out fine. Presley was asleep in the carrier on the top of the buggy and Brady was happily driving his cozy coup attached to the buggy.
We barely made it through the produce and I had reminded Brady at least 5 times to keep all limbs and head inside the vehicle.
By the time we made it through the meat/cheese section that number had tripled and Presley was crying. Crying! Not whimpering, not grunting, crying!
I picked her up and carried her upright on my shoulder while one handing that awful, ridiculously difficult to maneuver car cart, while Brady's leg drug on the floor and his head hung out the front window section. (Don't ask me how he managed that, but he did.)
Did I mention I had coupons?
Oh, because I did and a list.
Presley got calmed down, so I returned her to the carrier. Shot the death stare to Brady and reminded him that I am taking the ice cream back to the freezer if he does not sit his bottom down in that stupid red car. ( I didn't actually say stupid, but Oh I was thinking it.)
We made it through check out, only $4 over my ideal spending amount and swung by to visit Daddy. (Caleb works at an in store bank, so we usually go to that grocery store to also visit daddy.) Fortunately Caleb had a second and he walked us out to the car and loaded my groceries, while I attended to the children, but not before Presley began crying again.
Really?! She is not a cry baby unless hungry and I knew she wasn't hungry. Why is she crying?
I decided she hates the grocery store and say welcome to the club, young girl.
Once I got her loaded in the car I realized her diaper was loaded which was the problem. I decided to change her there in the car, so we could have a peaceful ride home. It worked, she was back to sleep by the time we got home.
Caleb took the buggy back to the designated location for me. Thank goodness, because that is a whole other can of worms.
The trip actually went much better than I expected, but two little ones is a whole different ball game than only one.
I can't say I am looking forward to the next grocery trip, but we will adapt. I think anyway! ;)

Clean your room...
I asked Brady today to clean his room.
He replied with "okay, then can I play the Wii?".
I told him if he cleaned his room, yes he could play the Wii.
Cut to a few hours later and his room was still not clean. (Not that I expected it to be really, after all, he had spent a total of approximately 5 minutes in his room over a 2 hour period.)
I asked him again to clean his room.
Same conversation about the Wii followed.
I went into another room and returned to find Brady sitting on the couch.
He looked up at me with a sweet grin that usually means I have, am thinking about, or going to do something you aren't going to like, but I am so stinking cute maybe you won't care. You know the look. It is a dangerous and incredibly frustrating look, sprinkled with a bit of cuteness.
The words that followed that all to familiar look were something along the lines of "I don't want to clean my room so I locked the door."
Not comprehending the statement, I immediately went to his room.
I went to turn the knob, but to my surprise it would not turn.
Comprehension sinking in, I asked the question, "Did you lock your door and then close it?"
"Yes, I did, because I don't want to clean my room." in a normal, matter of fact voice.
The words that followed I can not repeat, because I am not quite sure what they were. Not that they were bad words, I was so mad, I am just not sure what they were. I know there was a lot of big trouble, never ever do that, and what were you thinking. I believe a few dramatic now you are never going to be able to get in your room agains were involved.
I tried to break in, but my 9 month pregnant angry self has zero patience. It left me frustrated.
Fortunately, Caleb was on his way home and he quickly worked the lock.
Here we are at the end of the day and the room has yet to be cleaned, no one has played Wii, and I am certain Brady has officially declared mommy crazy!
I know one thing, I am not cleaning that room.
Caleb always says I am not sure which one of us(me or Brady) is more stubborn.
Moral of the story: Remove all locks from interior doors, except from Mommy and Daddy's room, before having children.
Unfortunately, I have to give the little guy credit for not throwing a fit or acting out. He saw a solution to his problem and found a creative way to fix it. As much as I hate to admit it, it was pretty genius for a 3 year old.

The World According to Brady...
Time for a few Brady stories. He keeps us on our toes and laughing all the time. You never ever know what is going to come out of that little mouth. :o
We always ask Brady what he learned in Bible class after it is over. Wednesday he replied, "Jesus was washing his friends feet. But Peter said don't wash my feet. Then Jesus said you better let me wash your feet."

Brady asked me last week why I was walking like a penguin. He proceeded to laugh hysterically afterwards.
The other night Brady said, "When I grow up big, I am gonna smoke just like my Papa!"- That one didn't go over so well. Apparently he spent the next day telling Papa how yucky smoking is and it is what is making him cough all the time.
Brady asked me if we had diapers for the baby, I told him we had some. Brady quickly said, "Diapers- check!"
He said after seeing a Chuck-E-Cheese commercial the other day, "when my baby is born, Poppi and Sue Sue are taking me to Chuck-E-Cheese and they will let me ride the cars ride". He totally made that up.
We met my friend Brandi last week for dinner while Caleb went to a concert. Brady sat as close as humanly possible to Brandi during dinner. He looked at her and said, "My daddy told my mommy my game was at the school with the rocket ship, but when we got there no one was there. Then my mommy cried and cried and called daddy and told him to tell us where the ballgame was. Then daddy told us where to go and we made it to the game. " Unfortunately this was a very accurate account of our trip to one of Brady's games one Saturday morning. He has started telling everything!!!
That is all for now. I am sure there is more, but it so hard to remember everything. Especially since he talks non stop all day long.

Where is Brady?
Since we have put the crib up in the babies room, Brady has been obsessed with it and that room.
If we can't find him for a minute, you will usually hear giggling coming from her room.
He is nearly always sitting in her crib.
He is often playing with her little toys as well.
I have a feeling we will have to monitor this very closely once she gets here.
I don't want Brady trying to get her out by himself or climbing in to play with her. LOL!
I hope his love for her sticks around. ;)

It's true what they say...
Kids say the darnedest things.
Brady says the craziest, most funny stuff. I blows my mind what pops out of his little mouth.
We were at a devotional/get together/ dinner with friends from church this past Saturday and we began talking about all the things kids say.
Someone asked if I wrote it all down and I said it is on my blog.
Then I realized it had been a while since I had done a post about stuff Brady has said.
Not good.
It is too precious to forget.
So, here it goes.
For your entertainment and my documentation...
- Last night, Brady woke up screaming with a fever of 102. I scooped up that big boy around my swollen, pregnant belly and put him in our bed. Caleb calmed him while I got him some medicine and some ice water. Brady began to talk, and talk, and talk. He talked without taking a breath for about 30 minutes. Caleb began to laugh and Brady looked at him as serious as anything and said, "Don't waugh at me, I am sick!".
- The other day Brady was playing outside when he suddenly ran over to me and said, "My daddy built our house on Jesus Christ." Then said, " Did you know Jesus Christ it the rock?"
- One day we were all watching t.v. when out of the blue, Brady said, "Oh my Gosh! Did you see that baby in that there picture." Who talks like that?
- When we were at my moms house a few weeks ago, Brady woke up screaming. We had been to the zoo that day and apparently he had a bad dream about the snakes. (If you remember, he chose a snake as his toy from the gift shop) He was shaking and mumbling something about a giant snake. When I finally got him calmed down, he said, "That giant snake at the zoo broke through the glass, just like on Harry Potter!" He has nightmares/night terrors on nights when he is overly tired. It is really scary until you get him calmed down and to acknowledge you
- We have 3( yes not 1, but 3) imaginary baby crocodiles that live with us. I decided I needed a blizzard from DQ after church one Wednesday night, so I drove thru and got one. After ordering but before getting to the window Brady started talking about the baby crocodiles. As I pulled up to the window to pick up and pay, Brady yelled, "Mom, WAIT!" I asked why and he continued to tell me how I crashed into the baby crocodiles while they were getting their milkshakes. Really! By the way, I did not pretend to let the baby crocodiles get their milkshakes. I am all about promoting creativity, but I draw the line somewhere.
That is really all I can remember right now. I need to do a post like this once a week.
Here is how Brady spent the better part of his day today. I believe his fever broke during nap time and he has seemed much better since. Hoping for a fever free night!

Impromptu Picnic
Tuesday, Brady came out of his room with his Thomas the Train lunch box, that we usually store crayons in.
He had emptied and asked if this was his lunch box.
When I told him it was, he immediately got busy filling it with his wunch for the day.
It looked a little like this...
2 grapes
2 packs of fruit snacks
an orange(cutie)
2 slices of turkey
a bag of mixed nuts
1 Cars yogurt
a rice krispie treat
a spoon
a Capri sun
He then closed it up and said, "I am ready for my picnic".
Really, how do you say no to that?
You don't!
We headed outside with a blanket and set up a picnic. Oh and we didn't change out of our pajamas, because, well, we didn't want to.
As soon as we stepped outside, Brady said, "Wow, it is hot out here."
Once we sat down, he said about 15 times, "it sure is nice out today".
We enjoyed our lunch and packed up and came back inside to clean it all up.
It was probably the sweetest moment ever. It is definitely one of my top ten moments with Brady ever. It was just so stinking sweet that he packed up his own lunch and the way he talked while we were eating.
He really is a special little boy. I am not sure why God chose me to be your Mommy, but I am so thankful He did.

Story Time
Today was the first Story Time of Winter/Spring 2012.
Our library does "semester" type story times, meaning they do 2-3 months at a time, then break for 1-2 months.
It works out great because we get a little break and every one is excited to start back.
Brady moved up to the three year old class today.
The only difference is the books are a little longer, the songs are different, and they added a craft.
Brady was so so so excited to start back!
He loved the craft, but was a little thrown off by the new songs and different kids. He was a little more bashful than usual and clingy. He half way participated.
I forgot my camera, but here is a picture of him when we got home.
He always wants to check out a movie. Today, he picked Bob the Builder.
The theme today was about polar bears, so we all made polar bears. He loves to glue so he loved this project.
The polar bear lost an ear while I was trying corral Brady to stop running and pulling out books, while looking for a particular book to check out. I didn't find it and I accidentally bit my lip while looking. So polar bear also has some blood on his white fur. You would not believe how much it bled.
We finally made it home with Bob the Builder, bloody lip, the one eared, bloody polar bear, 2 tummys growling, and no book for mommy. Ha Ha!
That is just the way it goes sometimes.
We love our library and our story time, even if we are a little crazy sometimes. We always return. It is good for Brady to learn to sit, listen, and interact. It is completely free. It gives us something to do each week that is close to home. So despite the crazy, it is worth it.
The good always outweighs the bad.
I also just found a smiley face sticker on my stomach. I am certain that was there while we were at the dollar store. Oh well.

My first trip to the Dentist.
This week Brady had a first. We have slowed down on firsts for Brady, so it is kind of exciting when we have one around here.
He had his first dentist appointment.
When I went for my cleaning in October, I had to bring Brady with me. My hygenist asked me how old Brady was and told me I could make him an appointment for when he turns three.
I did.
She also explained to me that they try to keep it very positive and kind of let the kid determine how the appointment goes. She also told me to keep any conversations about the dentist or teeth very positive.
I did.
I started about 3 or 4 days before the dentist. I just casually mentioned to Brady that next week he would be going the dentist now that he is a BIG 3 year old. I simply told him the dentist just wanted to count his teeth and get them really clean!
We went on about our normal business, occasionally and casually mentioning how the dentist is coming up in my best excited, high pitched voice. I didn't want to talk about it too much, but I didn't want him to be surprised.
Brady seemed upbeat about it, telling my mom, Caleb's mom, and my sister, that the dentist just cleans your teeth and makes your they are o.k.
I got a little nervous the day of the appointment, but tried not to let it show. I made sure Brady knew where we were going and made sure to say things like "big boys get to go to the dentist, daddy goes to the dentist, and it will be fun".
(Brady is really into being a big boy right now and not a baby.)
We got there and Brady did well while I filled out his paper work. The hygenist came to get us and Brady smiled at her, but grabbed my hand while we followed her back to the room.
He was a little hesitant to walk into the room at first, so I went in and he followed. She told him he could sit in the special chair today. I sat him in it, still a little unsure. She told me to pull my chair up close to his, I did. She explained the chair was special because it could move up and down. Then she asked Brady if he wanted to try it out. He did and he laughed. He listened intently as she explained each tool and their use. She let him touch and test out several of the utensils. She showed him her mask, glasses, and gloves. She asked Brady if he wanted to let her clean his teeth and by this point he had warmed up and said he did. He did everything she asked.
She listened to him talk and answered his sweet questions. For example, she asked if she could show him on his fingernail what the scraper thing feels like. He asked her if she was going to cut his fingernails, too. She assured him she would only work on his teeth.
She continued to ask permission and explain what she was doing. Brady even told her to not to forget to count the top teeth.
His teeth looked great. No problems or concerns at this time. He got to pick a toy out of the toy chest and got to pick a new tooth brush.
| He was suppose to be showing me his teeth and toy from the toy chest. Ha! |
I was so proud of him. Our dental office was so sweet with him and he behaved so well. I couldn't have dreamed it would go that well.
He goes back again right after the baby is born, so I am hoping he will do this well again.
For now, 1st dental appointment = success!
If you are having trouble believing me, I will let you hear it from my sister. This is the facebook post she left me after we called her to tell her how it went.
Love how he got on the phone and said, "The dentist." Long pause. "It was fun!" "I got a soothbrush. It's Diego."
See success.

Brady's style.
Brady is really into picking out his clothes right now. I never dreamed this would be an issue with a boy, but it is.
This was his outfit of choice yesterday for the grocery store: tye dye shirt, gray sweatpants, orange jack-o-lantern socks(not seen), and cowboy boots.
I don't always give in and let him wear what he wants, but to the grocery store I didn't care.
Sometimes his outfits of choice are not so, uhm, crazy. Sometimes they are actually pretty cute.
For example, he begged to wear this to church one Wednesday night a few weeks ago.
The boy knows what he likes/wants and when he likes/wants it, he always has.

Please, ignore the poor quality, the outfit, and the flailing legs.

Family, Reptiles, and Camping
Sweet and Silly boys!
Yesterday, we met my mom, sister, and Noah for lunch. Then my sister and I took the boys to a community reptile demonstration thingy. It was through the library story time where my sis lives. Brady absolutely loved it! His face was priceless when it was over. I wish I had a picture of it.
The boys waiting for the show.
There were a few others also, but I didn't post those animals. Brady asked me if he could hold them. He is all boy.
Brady and I came home, fixed dinner, and cleaned up before Caleb came home.
Caleb had decided he wanted to put up the tent in the back yard and camp out with Brady last night.
Caleb did not have to work today so they did. We sat Brady down last night and told him what they were going to do. His sweet face lit up and he leaped off his seat and hugged my neck. Then ran and hugged Caleb's. To say he was excited is an understatement. They made it all night, but I don't think they got much sleep. I made them hot chocolate and popcorn and then left them alone.
I bundled Brady up. I did not want him to get cold.
Here they are today. Ha!
Days like this make me want a whole house full of boys. They are so fun!!!

A little sweet, a little salty
Last night, Brady and I were washing the dishes together at the sink. He is my big helper and a very good one at that. Right in the middle of rinsing the pots, he leaned over, gave me a BIG hug, and said, "Mommy, you're my best friend!"
I am not sure what my reply was, I was so taken aback. It was just one of the sweetest moments!
After the dishes were done, we walked into the living room. I was carrying some laundry to fold and Brady was ahead of me. Still floating from the best friend comment, I went into living room unarmed. (If you have boys over two in your house, you understand.) Brady proceeded to launch 2 couch pillows at my face as I turned into the living room. He succeeded, laughed hysterically, retrieved the pillows and fired again and again until I finally said, "ok, thats enough".
Nice.
Caleb said that is what best friends do. Ha ha!
In that case, I am not sure I want to be his best friend anymore.
In order to see the sweet, you have to bear the salt I guess. I literally never know what is going to happen next in my house. As is life.

Story Time Tuesday
I realize it is Thursday, but Tuesday we attended our first Story Time at the local library. The first one was last week, but I was out of town so we missed it.
When we left, Brady told me he "wiked that wady". (liked that lady) I told him that is good, because we will be coming here every Tuesday until Christmas. We spent some time reading books and playing with the toys after story time.
Then, we headed out to look for Brady a Halloween costume and grab some lunch, since we were out. He has consistently wanted to be Buzz Lightyear, but I wasn't crazy about the cheap Buzz costume and the one from Disney was $45. I did NOT want to pay that much for a Halloween costume. I thought we would get out and he could pick one in person.
(I forgot it was Fall Break. Chicken Fil-A, as Brady calls it, was packed!)
He decided on Spiderman and it was only $17, so we got it. I really wanted him to get the super cute monkey or the adorable airplane, but I was overruled. Spiderman was cheaper anyway. I think my days of having an opinion are numbered. How can that be?
He LOVES his costume and even wore it to nap time when we got home, so I guess it is worth it not being my pick. Now I just hope that $17 costume lasts until Halloween. ; )

Two's aren't always Terrible
Here are a few things I have discovered from Brady over the past week or so...
- He wants a baby brother named Spider as soon as possible.
- He is not a fan of learning the ABC's. He can sing the song, but when I get out the puzzle pieces to play with or quiz him on, he pretends to be asleep. Snores and every thing!
- He wants to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween and has requested I be Jessie and Caleb be Woody from Toy Story.
- He responds very well to punishments involving removing his movies. He has gone straight back to no accidents. Confused? See Here.
- Boy LOVES to dance. ALL. THE. TIME. (already knew this one, but has been more confirmed.)
- He is just the sweetest
littlebig boy and I love him more and more every day!

Mommy Fail.
Parenthood is hard.
Like really, really hard.
To be completely responsible for some one's life is a little intimidating. o.k. a lot intimidating.
I don't think you can fully understand the overwhelming difficulty and pressure of it until you experience it. At least I didn't.
It is constant, whether they are sleeping, sitting right next to you, or a million miles away, they are your first priority. All you want is to do a good job.
They are your reason for getting up, for staying up too late, for well everything.
I, like most parents, would not take anything for my child.
Yesterday, though, was a rough one.
Brady has recently decided he wants to potty "like a boy" and stand up.
Yeah, this can't be going in a good direction.
He has been doing fine, his aim is not great, but it has been improving.
Well, yesterday twice within an hour or two he went to the bathroom, took off his clothes, and peed in the floor. DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TOILET. not in the direction of the potty, not like poor aim, like a puddle in the floor next to the toilet.
The first time I let it slide. The second time, I began to get frustrated, asked a lot of questions, and did quite a bit of fussing. He said he did it because he wanted to and when I asked if it was an accident or on purpose. He said on purpose.
Either he really did it on purpose or he doesn't know what on purpose means.
Any who, we came up with a punishment for if it happened again. I informed him in my best calm, but stern mommy voice, if it happens again, I will take away his movies until he can pee pee in the potty.
He showed understanding and repeated the offense and consequences back to me a couple of times clearly.
Within an hour or so, Brady returned to me with a clean pair of pants, and said, I need to wear these. Of course, I asked why. He didn't have much to say. I asked if he pee peed in the floor to which he replied "yes, but don't take away my movies".
Oh really!
I lost it! Here I was feeling guilty for coming down so hard on him because he is just 2.5, and he comes to me obviously understanding what he is doing. I yelled, stomped around, snatched up movies, packed them away, fussed, and I am not completely sure what else. I was so mad at him.
Mommy Fail.
Brady cried and repeated I sorry and Yes Ma'am after every outburst. He didn't look frightened, just like, uh oh this is serious.
I cleaned up the mess and got him situated. Then, I poured myself a Mt. Dew, it is the strongest thing we have in the house, turned on his Veggie Tales music in his room, demanded he stay in his room and play for a while, and hid in the computer room and prayed until I could get it together.
The rest of the night I felt horrible. I had completely lost control. Once Caleb got home, I had Brady explain why he was in so much trouble and what happened. He told him everything, that he pee peed in the floor 3 times and that mommy took his movies away and he should pee pee in the potty.
It took away a small fraction of the guilt, at least he understood what was going on. But still.
Before bed, I apologized to Brady for losing my temper and Caleb had him apologize to me. It was sweet and we were able to sleep well.
Today has been much better. The deal is he can earn a movie back a day by not having any accidents on himself. He seems to get it and like I said, today has been much better.
The great thing about little ones is that they don't hold grudges the way we do. Brady has more than moved on.
It is like it never happened.
I am certain their is a reason for that.
That, my friends, is why God is the designer and not me.
Happy Parenting!

Rules were made to Follow...
Brady is a rule follower.
I can relate, because I am also a rule follower.
I have a friend who is not a rule follower, but a rule breaker. We joke that in Kindergarten she was the girl eating the glue and I was the one telling her no, no glue to paper, paper to paper. Every one knows you aren't supposed to eat paper.
It is funny, but it is real life.
She embarrasses me a lot, not in a bad way. In a this is a really quite, nice restaurant and we shouldn't be laughing this loud kind of way.
Don't get me wrong, she is a good person, my friend, and I love her. We are just different when it comes to this. It was actually through this friend that I realized how much of a rule follower I am.
I like to color inside the lines of life. I like to play by the rules and win by the rules. I like to use maps and directions.
I can't help it. It is just my nature.
It was no surprise to me that this tiny, little human that acts so much like me is also a rule follower.
We recently converted Brady's bed into a toddler bed. He transitioned really well, almost too well. Meaning, he will not get out of that bed. In fact, he will cry in the mornings until someone comes in and gives permission to get up.
It is has become comical!
We also often tell Brady to keep certain toys in his room. There are some toys we don't want on the hard wood or drug out all over the house, etc. However, Brady wants to be as close to us when he is playing.
His solution...

His solution...
Move the toy as close to the door as possible. He isn't breaking the rules.
He does this all the time, but doesn't cross that line.(I see in the picture his horse has crossed onto the hardwood a little. I think he may have gotten off and moved it back to the carpet.) It is so funny!
I love my little rule follower and his creativity!

What is in your pocket?
This morning we went to the park.
Brady LOVES the park.
He ran and played for a while, about an 1.5-2 hours.
We came home when his hair was more wet than dry, we ran out of water, and I was literally dripping sweat down my leg.
I know, Gross, but true.
I attempted a picture at the park, but Brady wanted to take a picture of me.
I let him.
This is it.
Impressed?
Yeah didn't think so. Maybe this will impress.
We came home, had lunch, and Brady took a nap.
As soon as he woke up, he started talking about food for his animals.
He named off all his stuffed animals and said he had their food in his pocket.
Being the great mom that I am, I played along nodding and discussing how great of a care taker he is.
Until...
I realized there was actually something in his pocket.
Had I actually been a great mom, I am certain I would have noticed his pocket buldging before this point.
Had I actually been a great mom, I am certain I would have noticed his pocket buldging before this point.
I felt around on the outside, because, honestly, I was a little scared of what was in there. I mean, I had no idea how long it had been in there.
Finally, I braved it and reached in the pocket.
It was hard, dirty, and rough. At first I thought it was some sort of food he stashed in his pocket.
Then I pulled it out.
Here is what I saw.
Wood chips from the park.
He and this other boy were pretending to feed the "horses" and I guess he thought his stuffed animals at home would like to be in on that action. He stuffed some in his pocket and must have forgotten until he woke from his nap.
I told ya, boy loves the park.
Can't bring your friends to the park, bring the park to your friends.

My Crazy, Funny Boy
Brady has been a little mischievous and entertaining recently.
The other day he was supposed to be washing his hands. When I went to see what he was doing, this is where I found him, just hanging out on the vanity.

I grabbed my camera(it was really close by) to snap a picture and he took a picture of me with his "camera" also. That is what he is doing below.
He also poured out a large bottle of bubbles in his room, but I didn't get a picture of that mess. I didn't stay very calm during that incident.
He was playing with a sock puppet the other day and I snapped this picture. I think it is so cute. It was just a sweet moment and the picture shows exactly how I remember it. He named it cat and I believe he was pretend talking for cat at this very moment. Cat went every where with us this particular day and ate all of Brady's food.
Brady spent Saturday night hanging out with his Papa(Caleb's dad). I let him choose his outfit for the night. Brady decided on overalls, his blue and green stripped shirt, sandals, and bunny ears. He also insisted he take daddy and baby monkey. Caleb's parents got a huge laugh out of Brady with his bunny ears walking in. It was pretty funny.
When we went to pick him up he was playing his little heart out with Papa. He was playing with an old, cordless phone. Think Zack Morris. Caleb asked Brady what he was doing with that phone. Brady immediately said, "just texting!"
We all lost it.
He has a huge imagination and keeps things interesting around our house. I know there is more, but that is all I can remember right now from this weekend.

VBS: Days 3 and 4
Wednesday:
Brady did not want his picture made before VBS. He wanted to watch whatever was on the t.v.
Sometimes he does this stuff just to make me crazy. It is possible I was late to work because of these pictures.
He managed to pull it together for me.
Yesterday his class was on Jonah and the big fish, but Brady has assured me that it was a whale and not a fish.
I picked him up, drove to my parents house, had dinner with them, gave Brady a bath and cleaned myself up a little, and we headed back to church for services(they do the whole VBS puppet thing on Wed night during VBS week instead of regular classes).
So the car was the only place to take our craft pic and this is the best I could get.
Brady had a major meltdown after the puppets were over last night. He kept mumbling something about the fish needing to be in water and he needed to see them more. (During some of the songs, the fish puppets show up) He was so worn out, we rushed home, and went straight to bed!
Thursday:
Caleb and Brady were playing/wrestling around on our bed when I was trying to get a picture before work.
I think Brady looks soooo big!
Today was about Noah and the ark, but Brady is super confused because his cousin is Noah. He kept correcting me that Noah is a baby and did not build a big boat. He is very interested in the rainbow that God made, though!
My MIL told me when I picked up Brady today that she had to sit with him and walk him to class today. She also said he fell asleep on the way home, so she woke him to go to the bathroom. He finished his business, got up, walked to the bed and laid down. She said he slept until 4!!! VBS is over at 11. The best part is that he apparently was so out of it, he took off his underwear in his sleep and slept nude!
Poor Buddy! VBS is rough!
We had to do some grocery shopping after I picked him up so that is why he is eating fruit snacks. I always bribe him with snacks so I can put the groceries away in peace. It's a toss up between being one of my parental flaws or genius. Not sure.
Tomorrow is the last day. Caleb is off so he is returning for the end of VBS. I know they will have a big day together!
