Friday night was our towns lighting of the tree. The library had a special story time where they read the Nutcracker and had a short performance from the Nutcracker before the other events.
My sister and Noah met up with us because my sister's husband had to work at the lighting of the tree. They went to the library with us.
Then we all headed to the see the tree and Santa's arrival. Santa came in on a horse and carriage and walked through the crowd and shook the kid's hands. The whole crowd sang, Here Comes Santa Claus. Brady did not shake Santa's hand. He said he didn't want to see Santa at all, but when we explained Santa would not touch him, he was fine.

Saturday, we had no plans and Caleb had to work. Brady and I went and did a little Christmas shopping in the morning. I told Brady he could pick out something for daddy and he threw a fit. Apparently, he wanted to buy himself a gift. We had a long talk. (I plan to do a full post on how we are trying to prevent/deal with this kind of thinking/behavior later.)
As soon as Caleb got home, Brady ran, gave him his gift, and told him what it was. Ha Ha! Fortunately, Caleb didn't understand what he said and I told Brady not to repeat it.
We spent the night in, except for an impromptu outing for hot chocolate and looking at Christmas lights in our p.j.'s. We drove thru McDonald's for hot chocolate, which is really good by the way. Then drove through several neighborhoods to check out the lights. Brady loved it! He said on the way home, "Sometime we should do this again when the sun goes down". Ha Ha!

| This house had tons of lights, people were standing on the street taking pics of it. My picture is terrible. This was Brady's favorite. |
I love Christmas!
