He is handsome!
He is silly!
He is in love with me
and
Our son!
More than you could ever imagine!!! Brady woke Daddy up this morning and gave him his card and presents. Caleb are such a wonderful father and are so so so helpful. Brady adores you and thinks you are so funny, as do I! We are so blessed to have you in our family. We love you! Happy 1st Father's Day!

Note: Brady does sleep in pajamas or a gown but this morning he, his pj's, and blanket were all soaked when I picked him up out of his crib, so I changed him out of the wet clothes and we just came to wake up daddy in a clean diaper. Just so you know.

Happy Father's Day to all Dads!

Uncle Cameron gets Married.

This weekend was my brother, Cameron's wedding in Louisville, KY. Cameron and Lauren have been engaged for almost 2 years so we have been anticipating it for a while. While I was pregnant with Brady we were not sure if we would try to take him or just leave him behind with Caleb's parents for the weekend. When Brady arrived and was so so so good, we couldn't leave him behind. So we all loaded up on Thursday to Louisville. This was Brady's first road trip over an hour, but his fourth wedding. He did just great! He didn't always sleep when I wanted him to, but it was o.k. Traveling with a 5 1/2 month old is extremely hard work. We had a great time, but were so glad to be back home. Here are some fun moments from our trip.
All loaded up and ready to go!

Heading to the church for the rehearsal Brady and I at the rehearsal

Brady finally went to sleep right before the rehearsal dinner.

One last stop before heading home! The Louisville Slugger Museum. Of Course we couldn't miss that. We got Brady a personalized bat with his name. His daddy has one so he had to have one too! Now I have to put it in a shadow box and hang it in his room.

Cameron and Lauren make a beautiful couple and we are so happy for them. We were happy to be a part of their special day. We wish them nothing but the best for many, many, many years to come!!!

5 Months!!!

Brady turned 5 months old on Saturday! It can't really be 5 months since we brought that tiny baby home from the hospital, Can it? Brady is in to everything. He wants to touch, grab, and put everything in his mouth. He laughs out loud all the time. He has really attached to his momma and if I am around I can't be out of his sight. He is still really good and sleeps really well. He is doing much better with the cereal and growing like crazy. He is even trying to sit up like a big boy! He is so much fun! And we are loving everyday with him.
OH YEAH!! And Brady loves to type. Here is his message today!

4 months!

Brady biscuit turned 4 months old last week! He had his 4 month old check up and weighed in at 14 lbs 11 oz and was 25 1/4 inches long. He is at the 50th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. The Dr.s assessment, He is perfect! We already new that though. Brady now sits in the bumbo, LOVES daddy, laughs tons, smiles at everything, rolls like a champ, and is way too fun! He is learning to eat cereal. It is by far the funniest thing to watch! I am certain that a very little amount of cereal actually reached his tummy, but he was pround nonetheless. It just kind of spills out of his mouth, so we laugh. In turn, He laughs and more spills out of his mouth. He is getting better though. We had a great Easter as well. Unfortunately, I lost my charger for my camera and couldn't take pictures. I will take some of him in his easter outfit the next time he wears it. He was too cute! More to come soon....

Speechless!

On April 10, 2009 (Good Friday) I was off so Brady and I went to State Farm to pick up my sister and a friend and head out for lunch. We enjoyed a quick lunch at Bellacino's on Memorial in Murfreesboro. My sisters husband called and said to get back to State Farm so we did. I made a quick decision without much thought that I will forever be thankful that I did. Brady and I got out and went inside with them. Within minutes we were taking cover in "safe rooms" and the power went completely out. We huddled in the floor with Brady in my lap before the back up generator came on. We waited for a couple hours before we were all released. When I got home, I turned on the t.v. The tornado had hit a 23 mile stretch damaging over 700 homes, sending 50+ people to the hospital and claiming 2 precious lives. I later learned that I went to highschool with the husband/father of the mother and baby killed and that a family I go to church with house was completely demolished. The security camera's at State Farm picked up the tornado. Had I decided to just go on home. This is what I would have seen in my rearview mirror!
I can not explain to you the way my stomach flips thinking that my sweet baby and myself could have been driving away from such a scary site! This weekend has been chaotic, but I have hugged and kissed that baby boy nonstop since Friday. I am so thankful!!! We survived our first and hopefully last tornado! Brady had NO idea! Ha! That is the way it should be!
If you would like to help the family of the mother and baby that were killed in the tornado you can donate at any Bank of America or by going to this link www.nashmash.com/bryant/ .

3 Months and a trip to the farm.

Brady is three months old today! I can't believe he is already three months old, but I also can't remember life without him! It is spring break here this week, so Brady is getting to stay with his GiGi, Caleb's mother, several days this week! She is a teacher and will be keeping him some during breaks and the summer. Brady is doing really well. He is very alert! He loves to play, smile, coo, laugh, and sing. He is learning new tricks! It is so exciting! I didn't get to take any pictures today, but we took several yesterday! It was so nice outside, so we got outside at Caleb's parents and introduced Brady to the puppies and horses. He didn't have much interest in the horse, but the puppies he thought were pretty cool!
Brady is losing his hair on the sides. He has some little hairs there but they don't show up in the pictures. He looks like a balding old man! Ha!

Growing TOO Fast!!!

Last night I was going through our nightly routine of putting Brady to bed, when I laid him down on his blanket to swaddle him for bed. He was all smiles cooing like crazy. So I called Caleb into his room and we all three played a little on the floor in his room. While we were playing I decided to give him some tummy time. Well, I had no idea what would happen next.
My little baby went from this.......
to this!!!

Yep! HE ROLLED OVER! I was so excited! I screamed, cheered and clapped! He looked terrified, at first! Then he was like crazy momma I just rolled over! The best part was Caleb and I both got to witness it! I am prepared that it may be a while before he does it again, but I don't care it was so fun! (these were the re-enacted pictures, that is why he has a pacifier in one and not the other.)

Sometimes Caleb gets home before me and picks up Brady. On those days, if we have to go somewhere, Caleb will go ahead and give Brady his bath. This is what I came home to the other day. Caleb was fixing Brady's wet hair. They were having a big time. It was really cute! I have a great husband!!!

2 months old and back to work

This week has been a big week for us.
Brady turned 2 months old on Monday and I started back to work. I can't believe how the time flies. People always say that, they grow way to fast. But they really do. It is crazy! Brady is getting so big. He is holding his up better and better. He is sleeping longer through the night. Last night he didn't get up at all! Yay! We would like more of those nights. He smiles and coos all the time!!! It is so fun watching him learn new things!
I also started back to work on Monday. It has been o.k. so far. I think it is going to be hard for a while, but it will be o.k. Afterall, I need money to buy Brady all kinds of cute stuff. I am really tired though. It will take a while to get used to working and taking care of a baby. I am really excited for the weekends and holidays!
This was Brady's valentines outfit. Showing off how he can hold up his head.
This was before Brady's first basketball game. His Uncle Cory coaches a Highschool girls basketball team and we all went to watch them play. Brady did so good! It was SOOO loud! The picture isn't that great, I was being rushed! But he looked so cute in his ball cap.

Fun Find Friday

My fun find for this week is a consignment sale. My good friends go to this consignment sale in Franklin and they always find the cutest stuff for cheap in great shape. So tomorrow my mom and I will be headed to Franklin to try it out. If you are a first time mom of a child 18 months or less or a first time expectant mom then you can go at 9 a.m. before it is open to the general public. You have to register at www.encoresandmore.com before you go. We really don't need much for little Brady, but would like to find some church clothes and some things for the grandparents like carseats, swings, etc. If you are interested, but can't go this time I think the next one is in June or July. I will let you know what I find!!!

1 month old

Brady is one month old or was a week and half ago. He went to the dr. last week and weighed a whopping 9 pounds 15 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long. He has begun smiling at us and is staying awake more during the day. He is beginning to hold his head up and is taking everhthing in. He is so alert!
Here are some pictures I took on is 1 month old birthday!
This was the first time he really noticed there was more to the playmat.
His arms a little stiff. It is really funny to watch him swat at the fish like this.
We are having a blast! Each day is better and better! He is just so sweet!

Brady is Here!

Hello! So this is way late! Little Brady James(not as little as we thought) arrived via c-section at 10:39 a.m. on December 23, 2008. He was 8 pounds and 20 inches long. He has a beautiful head full of hair and big blue eyes! Everyone is just smitten with him. He is such a perfect little baby. He doesn't cry except when he is really hungry!
Let me go back a little, At 36 weeks I had some severe cramping and pain which kept me up all night. I called the dr. the next morning and they decided I should come in to get checked. I hadn't dilated anymore (I had been dilated at a 1 for around 1 1/2-2 weeks at this point), but there was some questioning on his position. (He had been head down and ready to go without question. ) I kept my regular appointment that week and the dr was almost certain he was breeched. We scheduled an ultrasound for the next week and the suspicions were correct. Brady was breeched. We then scheduled to try and turn him on 12-23-08. The dr that would be doing the turning or c-section called me the night before and we discussed all options. I was blessed with a wonderful Dr. who guided me each step. I was terrified of a c-section, but wanted the best for my sweet baby. It was an extremely stressful decision and I had to make it. NO ONE else could, althought I tried to get others to make it. I don't know that I could have gotten through it without Dr. Redden! She was just wonderful! We then went over them again on Tuesday morning(12-23-08) with Caleb and my parents. After another ultrasound and discovering the baby was 7-8 pounds (at 32 weeks, they thought I was measuring small) and other factors, we decided to go ahead with the c-section without trying to turn him. It was the best decision. Brady was born within a few hours and recovery for me was much easier. We came home on Christmas Day! Everyone is adjusting and doing well!
Meeting Brady while my arms are strapped down and I can't feel my lower body!

Caleb then took him to the nursery and showed him off.

They finally brought him to my room and everyone else followed. It seemed like forever.

I will try to keep this updated!
