We had a great weekend with a lot of quality time with Daddy. It was spent getting things done around the house, grilling out, and enjoying the sun and family.
We spent Memorial Day with friends at a craw fish boil.
We attempted to explain Memorial Day to Brady. We told him it was a holiday and his first comment was, "Is it Christmas?" Ha Ha! Then he had about a bazillion questions about soldiers and death. He is such a questioning child, trying to explain things usually ends in a long conversation that turns out to be much deeper than initially intended. We ultimately came to the conclusion that soldiers are brave and we are thankful for them, I think we BOTH came to that conclusion anyway.
Brady woke us up at 6 am ready to put on his swimsuit, sunscreen, and head to the pool. The party wasn't until noon. He was counting down the minutes all morning.
We ate, swam, talked, and sunned. It was a good time.
Then we went to Caleb's parents to eat again. The kids were done, so we gave them baths there and put them in their pajamas. They both fell asleep in the car on the way home for the night.
It was a great weekend for all. We are all still recovering.
